Abbott patient assistance programs, offered by the Abbot Patient Assistance Foundation, provide free medications for those in need. The programs are typically for those prescribed Abbott drugs who do not have any prescription coverage and are experiencing financial hardship. Nutritional products are also covered.

Abbott, along with an assortment of other pharmaceutical companies, is a co-sponsor of Partnership for Prescription Assistance, a service that helps match consumers with money-saving drug programs. They also co-sponsor the Together Rx Access Card, a drug savings card that may be used for brand-name medications. Additionally, Abbott offers help to HIV patients who are currently on waiting lists for aid through their home states.[1]
