Acai Coupons
From Pharmacy Drug Guide
Acai (pronounced ah-sah-EE) is a reddish-purple berry, the fruit of a tropical palm species found in Central and South America. Acai is a supplement that is heavily advertised as a superfood with weight-loss and anti-aging properties. While some studies have shown patients with positive results from acai products, experts believe that much more research is necessary to clarify the fruit's benefits.[1]
Coupons for acai typically come from manufacturers, and it may be necessary to join an e-club or e-mail list to access them. Consumer beware: some disreputable companies claim to offer free samples of Acai supplements, but require people to enroll in an auto-payment system for future purchases, which can be difficult to cancel.

About Acai
Acai has been touted as a cure for conditions ranging from obesity to erectile dysfunction. Studies have focused on claims that acai's anti-oxidant properties can protect consumers from aging, inflammation, and cancer.[2] However, much more research is necessary to substantiate these and other claims.[1] While acai fruit does have fiber and other nutritional components, the same is true for blueberries and other fruits, although some studies show that acai has more.
The FDA does not evaluate OTC drugs for purity, strength or other factors as they do for prescription medications.[3] However, the government agency has recalled some acai products from the market, in one case because the substance contained another drug that had been withdrawn from sales for safety reasons.[4]

- While some companies offer free trials of acai products, consumers should use caution. The media have reported that these trials can be very difficult to cancel and can, despite the "free" aspect, generate significant charges.[7] In addition, Experts advise using extreme caution when purchasing acai and similar products online from unknown sources whose wares may be contaminated, of poorer quality, or advertised with false claims.[8]
