Bayer Aspirin Coupons

From Pharmacy Drug Guide

Jump to: navigation, search

Aspirin is made from acetylsalicylic acid, a salicylate that slows the production of certain substances in the body called prostaglandins that cause pain, inflammation, and fever. Bayer is a popular over-the-counter brand of aspirin that is used as a blood thinner in cardiovascular regimens, to reduce fever, and to relieve menstrual pain, muscle aches and headaches.[1]

Bayer regularly distributes coupons for their aspirin. Some are printable coupons, while others are pre-printed and come in newspaper inserts or retail store circulars. Bayer has also offered promotional give-aways in the past, offering 2,000 bottles of its new "Bayer Advanced" every week. Generally, the deepest discounts are given during new product campaigns.

About Bayer Aspirin

Bayer was formed in 1863, and originally sold synthetic dyes. The company opened its pharmaceutical division in 1881.[3]

For over a century, aspirin as been one of the most effective and widely available pain relief, fever reduction, and anti-inflammatory drugs on the market. In addition, the FDA has determined that aspirin can be effective in preventing cardiovascular illnesses such as strokes, "mini-strokes" and heart attacks. Aspirin lessens the chance of dying from a heart attack in high-risk patients and is helpful in patients who have already had heart attacks or heart surgery.[4] [5]
