About Beyaz
Beyaz combines the hormone ingredients included in the birth control pill Yaz with Metafolin, a folate (Vitamin B9) that is predominantly found in leafy, dark green vegetables, citrus fruits and juices, and beans. The Centers for Disease Control recommends that women supplement their diet with a minimum of 400 mcg of folic acid daily.[5]
Beyaz is 99% effective at preventing pregnancy when used correctly. It can also help relieve moderate acne, but does not help those with premenstrual dysphoric disorder (PMDD); nor does ir protect users from any sexually transmitted diseases, including HIV.[1]

Bayer Healthcare Pharmaceuticals offers the Bayer Savings Card, which covers Beyaz as well as similar birth control pills Natazia and Sayfral. With the card, patients will not pay over $25 for Beyaz prescriptions, including refills. To get the card, patients can go to the main Beyaz website and click on the Learn More link, which is under the Get the Bayer Savings Card heading. This will lead to a short form requiring basic personal information.
The program is open to those with no insurance, or those with private insurance policies. However, patients with public insurance plans like Medicare, Medicaid, Veterans Affairs or FEHBP may not use the discount card. United States or Puerto Rico residency is required, and the program is not available to Massachusetts residents.[6]
