About Casodex

Casodex, a nonsteroidal antiandrogen, blocks the effects of the hormone testosterone in men to stop the spread and growth of prostate cancer cells.[4] It is used in both early and advanced stages of prostate cancer, and is usually combined with hormone treatment or surgical castration. Casodex is not a cure for prostate cancer. Casodex is taken orally once per day.[4]

Side effects of Casodex can include hot flashes, pain or weakness in the muscles, constipation, upset stomach, weight fluctuation, insomnia, dizziness, more frequent urination, pain or swelling in the breasts, perspiration and back pain.[4]
