Celexa Coupons
From Pharmacy Drug Guide
Celexa is an antidepressant that is prescribed to patients suffering from depression, panic disorders, eating disorders, alcoholism, and social phobias.[1] It used to also be prescribed off-label to treat autism, though it is has since been shown ineffective for this purpose.
Coupons for Celexa may be available through doctors or pharmacists, but are typically not advertised online and are not always offered. However, there are other ways to save. Forest Pharmaceuticals, Inc., the manufacturer of Celexa, has a patient assistance program that can help some patients to save money on their medication. Drug savings cards and other programs can also help with Celeexa costs.

About Celexa
Celexa contains citalopram, a selective serotonin reuptake inhibitor (SSRI). Celexa works by stopping serotonin from being reabsorbed in the brain. This is effective because serotonin helps brain cells to send and receive chemical messages. By blocking serotonin in the brain, patients can experience an increase in mood and less severe symptoms of depression.[1]
Side effects of Celexa range from dry mouth and upset stomach to delayed ejaculation in men. In rare cases, Celexa can cause worsening depression or suicidal thoughts, particularly among young people.[1]
Celexa Patient Assistance Programs and Coupons
Forest Pharmaceuticals, Inc. offers a patient assistance program for many of its prescription medications, including Celexa. Patients who qualify can receive a three-month supply of Celexa, which will be shipped to their licensed practitioner’s office.
To determine eligibility, patients and their licensed practitioners must fill out an application form. In addition, patients must include a prescription for a three-month supply of Celexa and a photocopy of their Low-Income Subsidy (LIS) denial letter if they are a Medicare Part D enrollee. The application is online, or patients can call 800-851-0758.[3]
Patients who do not qualify for Forest's program may still get discounted Celexa through Xubex Patient Assistance Program or Rx Outreach Medications. Xubex does not have any income or insurance requirements. Their application can be downloaded, or patients can call 866-699-8239 to have it sent. Rx Outreach requires that patients not earn more than triple the federal poverty level, but any type of insurance is okay. They have a downloadable application, or patients can call 800-769-3880. Rx Outreach usually determines eligibility within a day of receiving the application.[4]
