Concerta Free Samples
From Pharmacy Drug Guide
Concerta is a central nervous stimulant medication available as a prescription drug to treat Attention Deficit Hyperactivity Disorder, or ADHD, in adults and children over six. It is also used to treat the sleep disorder narcolepsy, characterized by excessive daytime sleepiness and sudden sleep attacks. Concerta is a brand name for the drug Methylphenidate HCl. Concerta is a once-a-day, timed-release tablet that provides symptom relief from morning until evening. Other brands of methylphenidate HCl, like Ritalin and Methylin, have differing forms like a chewable pill or a liquid and provide medicine on varying schedules from immediate to long-acting capsules.[1] While Concerta free samples are less common now that the drug is considered generic, some programs do make medications available to those who qualify.

Concerta Background
Individuals with ADHD have difficulty staying focused on tasks, have short attention spans, and are unable to sit quietly for periods of time. Since many stimulants like caffeine increase hyperactivity, it may seem odd to take Concerta to calm and provide focus. Yet Concerta is designed to calm the patient by acting on chemicals in the brain.[2] Because of the timed-release delivery of Concerta, effects carry through from morning until evening.[5] Concerta side effects range from mild upper abdominal pain to allergic reactions requiring immediate medical care.[2]
How to Get Concerta Samples
With the arrival of generic Concerta in May 2011, manufacturer coupons and free drug programs are no longer in effect. The coupons have expired.[6] Doctors or other health care providers may have free samples of Concerta so their patients can try them out. Any coupon the physician may have for free or reduced Concerta to be filled by a pharmacy will require a valid prescription. If your doctor does not have samples, perhaps she can get them from a company salesperson. On occasion, drug stores will discount new prescriptions filed with them. Free samples of generic forms of Concerta, or timed-release Methylphenidate HCl, may be available from services like MedVantx or Medco pharmacy.[7] [8]
