Coreg Side Effects
From Pharmacy Drug Guide
Coreg (carvedilol phosphate) is a prescription medication that belongs to a a class of drugs called beta-blockers. Beta-blockers affect the heart and cardiovascular system to treat heart failure and hypertension (high blood pressure). Coreg also treats post-heart attack patients with reduced heart pumping function.
As with all medications, Coreg carries the risk of side effects. Side effects specific to Coreg include dizziness and lightheadedness, as well as more severe effects such as fainting or shortness of breath.[1] Carvedilol may help control cardiovascular conditions, but does not cure them. Carvedilol use should not be discontinued suddenly. Patients who suddenly stop taking it may experience serious heart problems such as severe chest pain, a heart attack, or irregular heartbeat.[2]

About Coreg Side Effects
Coreg Allergic Reactions
Coreg allergies are quite rare, but reactions to active ingredient carvedilol can be dangerous. In severe cases, patients may experience skin rash, swelling and itching of the throat or facial regions, and problems with breathing. Coreg also contains inactive ingredients, some of which may cause allergic reactions with certain patients.[6]
