How to Get Effexor XR Samples
Patients who want to try out free samples of Effexor® XR may start by speaking with their doctor or healthcare provider. Pfizer, Inc. provides healthcare professionals with free samples of new and existing drugs, so a patient's doctor may already have free samples of Effexor® XR on hand. If not, a patient's physician may be able to request samples directly from Pfizer.
In addition to free samples, there are other ways for patients to save. The "$4 Co-Pay Commitment Program" is offered through the official Effexor® XR website or by calling 877-612-1148. For those who qualify for the program, savings of up to $75 a month or up to $1,000 a year are offered. The card is redeemable at pharmacies, and must be surrendered along with a patient's prescription, in order to receive the discount. It is not insurance, and patients who have public health insurance policies like Medicaid and Medicare may not use it. Similarly, patients whose entire prescription is covered by private insurance are not eligible.
There are also several patient assistance programs that provide Effexor® XR at a discount or at no cost to qualified patients. This includes Pfizer patient assistance programs like Pfizer Pfriends and Pfizer Connection to Care. For example, Connection to Care offers free Effexor® XR to eligible patients. In order to qualify, patients must qualify for hardship assistance or have no drug coverage, must live in the United States, US Virgin Islands, or Puerto Rico, and earn $22,340 or less for an individual, $30,260 or less for couples, $38,180 for a family of three, $46,100 for a family of four, and $54,020 for a family of five.
