Enbrel Coupons
From Pharmacy Drug Guide
Enbrel (etanercept injection) is an injectable prescription medication used to treat chronic lifelong inflammatory diseases like arthritis and psoriasis. The drug, which is marketed by Pfizer, works by inhibiting an inflammation-inducing substance called tumor-necrosis factor, or TNF, in the body. Enbrel users are more prone to serious infection, as they have reduced immune function. [1] Other Enbrel side effects include irritation at the point of injection, weakness, upset stomach, cough and headache.[2]
Prescription assistance for Enbrel exists in the form of the Enbrel Support Card program. In addition, patient assistance programs are also available for qualifying patients.[2] Coupons for Enbrel may also be available from time to time.

About Embrel
Enbrel (etanercept) is a prescription medication used in the treatment of five autoimmune disorders (conditions in which the immune system attacks healthy parts of the body and causes pain, swelling, and damage) including: rheumatoid arthritis, psoriatic arthritis, juvenile idiopathic arthritis, chronic plaque psoriasis and ankylosing spondylitis. Tumor necrosis factor (TNF), a substance naturally found in the body, is part of the normal immune process. However, increased levels of TNF are associated with the inflammatory response of rheumatoid diseases.[1]
Enbrel is not a cure for these conditions, but lessens the symptoms and aids in management. It decreases pain, swelling and stiffness of joints in arthritis, and redness, itching and scaly patches in psoriasis. Enbrel is injected subcutaneously (beneath the skin) once or twice a week. It can be injected by the patient or by a caregiver. Symptoms usually return within one month of stopping the medication.[2]
