Evista CouponsEvista is the brand name for raloxifene (also known as keoxifene), a prescription drug manufactured by Eli Lilly for the prevention and treatment of osteoporosis in postmenopausal women.[1] Evista has been shown to be effective in reducing the risks of invasive breast cancer in postmenopausal women as well. Like most medications, Evista can cause certain side effects, such as hot flashes, leg cramps, insomnia and others.

Evista belongs to a category of drugs called "selective estrogen receptor modulators" or SERMs. Evista appears to treat and prevent bone loss by copying the effects of estrogen to increase bone density. Evista probably lessens the risk of invasive breast cancer by blocking the effects of estrogen on breast tissue and stopping the spreading of tumors that need estrogen.[1]
