About Gold Bond
Gold Bond was first introduced in the United States in the New England region in 1908. The formula for the original Gold Bond Medicated Powder, however, was developed in 1882 by a conference of physicians from The Rhode Island State Medical Association. For most of the 20th century, Gold Bond remained a regional product. It was not until 1990 that it became a national brand after it was purchased by Martin Himmel Inc. The company went on to expand the product beyond foot care before selling it to Chattem, Inc. in 1996.[1]
The Gold Bond line of products includes medicated body powders, medicated body lotion, medicated baby powder, foot care products, and products for first aid. In addition to the line of original medicated products, the brand offers Gold Bond Ultimate items like body lotions, creams, sanitizers and powders.[5]
Gold Bond products can be purchased in a variety of places, including grocery stores and supermarkets, pharmacies, retail stores, and more. Stores that sell Gold Bond include Rite Aid, Walmart, Duane Reade, Target, Walgreens. Gold Bond products may also be purchased through online retailers such as Amazon and Drugstore.com.[6]
