Lunesta Patient Assistance Programs are one way Lunesta patients can save money on their prescription medication. Although there is no patient assistance program for Lunesta through the drug's pharmaceutical company Sunovion, there are several ways for patients to receive help with their Lunesta drug costs. Lunesta offers a free trial version to patients free of charge, as well as an annual copay program saving patients up to $600 annually.[1]

Lunesta Patient Assistance Programs

Although Sunovion Pharmaceuticals does not typically offer a patient assistance program for Lunesta, there are several options available to help patients save.

  • One way for patients to save is through the patient assistance programs provided by Xubex Pharmaceuticals. Typically, patients can receive up to a 30 day supply of free medication for select drugs, including Lunesta. To apply, patients can visit the official Xubex website, where they will be asked to sign up for a free account. Then, patients will fill out an application, listing Lunesta as the drug they are interested in receiving free medication for. Patients will be asked to provide their physician information as well. If a patient qualifies, Xubex will contact the patient's physician for a prescription, and Lunesta will be sent directly to the patient's home.[3]
  • The official Lunesta website offers a Rest for Less Savings Program for patients that qualify. Eligible patients can save up to $600 annually, a savings of $50 a month. Patients can get a card from their doctor (through a Lunesta brochure), by calling 1-888-394-7377, or by visiting the official Lunesta website. Patients are eligible regardless of income, but must not be enrolled or in a state, federal, or government health care plan. Patients must also be residents of the United States or Puerto Rico. Patients living in Massachusetts do not qualify.[1]
