Orencia Side Effects
From Pharmacy Drug Guide
Orencia is used alone or in conjunction with other medications to reduce the pain, swelling, and joint damage associated with rheumatoid arthritis, an autoimmune disorder in which the body attacks its own joints.[1] Orencia is classifed within a type of selective costimulation modulators called immunomodulators. It works by blocking T-cell activity. Many people using Orencia do not experience serious side effects. It is prescribed when a physician determines that its benefits are greater than any risk of adverse reactions. However, patients may experience upset stomach, respiratory infections, throat irritation or headaches, as well as other more serious side effects.[2]
