Plavix Free Samples
From Pharmacy Drug Guide
Plavix is a prescription medication classified as an antiplatelet that is used to prevent blood clots in patients who are in a high risk group for heart attack or stroke. The drug is only effective for the duration that it is taken, and stopping usage will discontinue any benefits.[1] Free samples of Plavix can save patients money at the outset whether or not they have prescription coverage, allowing them to try out the drug before spending money on a prescription. Samples can often be obtained from a patient's doctor or health provider. In addition, health discount plans may be able to defray the cost.

How to Get Plavix Samples
- Patients may be able to obtain free Plavix samples by speaking to their doctor. Pharmaceutical representatives for Sanofi-Aventis often provide samples for new and existing drugs. If a patient's doctor does not have Plavix samples on hand, they may be able to request some from the manufacturer.
- Bristol Meyers occasionally provides Plavix coupons that may distributed in addition to, or instead of, free samples.
- When no free samples are available, or if the patient has already used their allotted samples and is now seeking help paying for a Plavix prescription, the Bristol-Myers Squibb Patient Assistance Foundation can help by covering some or all of the cost. The program is open to residents of the United States, Puerto Rico and the Virgin Islands who do not earn more than 250% of the national poverty level and have no insurance coverage for prescription drugs. Up to a 90-day supply of 75-milligram Plavix tablets may be covered for each patient.[5]
