Pulmicort Patient Assistance Programs
From Pharmacy Drug Guide
Pulmicort is an asthma prevention medication manufactured by the pharmaceutical company AstraZeneca. It may also be used to treat symptoms of other types of lung diseases, but does not cure any illnesses and is not a treatment for attacks that come on suddenly (it is not a fast-acting inhaler). WIth regular use, Pulmicort can help users breathe more easily.[1]
Pulmicort is available by prescription only. For those who have been prescribed Pulmicort, there are several savings options available, possibly including occasional Pulmicort coupons and free samples. Additionally, AstraZeneca offers several patient assistance programs to help aid in prescription costs.

Eligible patients will receive free Pulmicort for up to a year, after which they may apply for a renewal. The medication will be sent to the patient's home or to their doctor or healthcare provider.[3]
Eligible patients must:
- Have a social security card, green card or work visa that verifies residency in the United States
- Provide proof that they meet standard income requirements, which is based on a sliding scale according to family size:

- Two people must not earn over $3,333 each month
- Three people must not earn over $4,166 each month
- Four people must not earn over $5,000 each month
