Rite Aid is a chain of 4700 pharmacies in 31 states and the District of Columbia.[1] Rite Aid is the third largest pharmacy chain in the United States with an especially strong presence on the East Coast. The Rite Aid Wellness+ program provides consumers with savings, coupons, special deals, health checks, and other benefits. The chain also has a relationship with GNC, with whom they co-market a line of vitamins and supplements.[1] Rite Aid stores sell health and beauty aids, greeting cards and gift items, household paper goods, snack food and seasonal items.[2] Customers can check out Rite Aid's weekly circular online and create a shopping list before heading out to the store. The Rite Aid circular is customized to the customer's location by zip code.[3] The website also has unadvertised specials. Rite Aid sells a wide variety of photograph services and gifts.[4]

Rite Aid Wellness+ Program
Begun in 2010, the Rite Aid Wellness+ Program is focused on customer health and provides 24/7 access to a pharmacist as well as 10% savings on Rite Aid brand products.[1] The Wellness+ program includes services like flu shots and a personalized weight loss program, the free Rite Weight Plan.[6] Other special programs and publications address issues such as diabetes, allergies, heart health, and reproductive health, all accessible from the company website.[6]
Rite Aid Wellness+ Program Benefits
The Rite Aid Wellness+ Program has three levels of rewards: plus, silver, and gold. Depending on points earned through purchases, participants can get a one-time 10%-off shopping pass for the store, a 10%-off every day shopping pass, free health screenings, up to a 20%-off privilege for non-prescription purchases available every day.[7] Rite Aid Wellness+ members get 10% off Rite Aid brand products every day and cash-back rewards at the register. With all of these benefits, some limitations apply.[7] Customers accumulate points through purchases based on the calendar year.[8] Discounts are not valid for tobacco, alcohol, gift cards, online purchases and other specific classes of merchandise.[8]

Load2Card Program
Rite Aid Pharmacies has a new program that loads savings directly onto the consumer's card. Consumers access the Load2Card from their Wellness+ account at RiteAid.com.[9] Customers can select relevant coupons and load them directly onto their card for benefits up to 20% off the whole store for a year.[10] The card is free and consumers can sign up online.
+UP Rewards Program
Rite Aid patrons can save using their Wellness+ Rewards cards; when purchasing specific products, a customer can receive discounts for his next visit to the store.[11]
