Takeda Pharmaceutical Company, Limited, is a global firm based in Japan and dedicated to developing new drugs through research and development.[1] One of the largest pharmaceutical manufacturers in the world, Takeda developed such drugs as Actos, Prevacid, Uloric, and Lupron, as well as OTC cold remedies, vitamins and other medications.[2] While some of the medications are distributed by others, the Takeda "Help at Hand" program provides assistance to patients taking Actos, Amitiza, Dexilant, Duetact, Edarbi, Rozerum, and Uloric.[3]

Takeda Pharmaceuticals Information
Takeda Pharmaceuticals North America, TPNA, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Takeda Pharmaceutical Company, Ltd., was formed in 1998 to facilitate expansion of the firm into the Americas.[4] TPNA develops drugs in the areas of diabetes, cardiovascular disease, and gastroenterology, among others.[4] The parent Takeda Pharmaceutical Company, Ltd., is based in Osaka and is the largest drug firm in Japan.[5]
Takeda Patient Assistance Programs
Takeda's "Help at Hand" umbrella program includes several savings opportunities for patients who need help paying for their medications.[6]
- For United States residents that meet certain income qualifications, the Patient Assistance Program provides free medications.
- Together Rx Access assists qualified patients whose income levels are too high to qualify them for the Patient Assistance Program. This program issues participants a medicine card that covers several companies besides Takeda and provides 20% to 40% savings on prescription medications.
- The Partnership for Prescription Assistance helps income-qualified patients receive free or discounted prescription medications through a multitude of public and private programs.
