Zyprexa is generally used to treat schizophrenia and bipolar disorder, but may also be prescribed for other mental disorders.
Zyprexa is not intended for elderly individuals with dementia or Alzheimer's disease, and is not approved by the FDA for such patients. In addition, hyperglycemia, which can be fatal, has also been linked to Zyprexa and similar drugs. Consuming grapefruit or grapefruit juice may cause interactions with Zyprexa, and Zyprexa patients are advised to drink plenty of water to minimize some of the drug's side effects.
Zyprexa Patient Assistance Programs and Coupons
